Albuquerque area PCSA Support Group Meetings Support Group Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 12:30 to 2:30 at the Bear Canyon Senior Center on 4645 Pitt NE in Albuquerque (one block east of Eubank and two blocks north of Montgomery). Meeting Announcements The Meeting will be in our usual Place and time. – Bear Canyon Senior Center ,between 12:30 and 3:00 PM. Newly diagnosed are welcomed to hear our members share their experiences regarding their treatment choices. January 21 Our member, Lyle Ware and his associate Tom Stanford, are scheduled to speak about their experiences having testosterone therapy after prostate cancer treatment. This is a controversial therapy being performed by Dr. Lindberg following the protocols developed by Dr. Leibowitz in California. (See compassionateoncology.org). In addition to talking about their high dose testosterone replacement therapy, Lyle will show about 30 minutes of Dr. Leibowitz’s latest video. Dr. Abraham Morgantaler at Harvard has also done research on testosterone and some of his writings can be found on line including one on the life extension website (Google his name for links). February 4 We have David Retberg, PA, from Dr. Wayne Kuang’s practice at Albuquerque Urology Associates scheduled to speak on Erectile Dysfunction and what is available to address this problem. They offer a specialty in inflatable Penile Prosthesis. February 18_ Dr. Paul Anthony from Lovelace will give a presentation titled “Treatment Options for Prostate Cancer using New Radiation Oncology Technology”.
