Meetings
We host support meetings from 12:30 – 2:30
on the first and third Saturdays of most months.
Presentations will be held at the beginning of meetings, last for about 40 minutes, and be followed by a time for questions and discussion.

Presentation by Lori Millet, J.D., LL.M, ABQ Elder Law, PC: Estate Planning with a Cancer Diagnosis
A diagnosis of cancer comes with additional challenges to traditional estate planning. The goal of this presentation is to review those challenges with you.
Bio: Lori Millet is a sole practitioner in Albuquerque, where she practices in the area of estate planning, elder law, trusts, probate and Medicaid and VA planning. She also provides Guardian ad Litem services. Additionally, Lori is an accredited attorney with the VA.
- B.S. degree in medical technology from the University of Central Florida and her J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Award and the Wall Street Journal Academic Achievement Award
- LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Elder Law through Stetson University College of Law
- Member of the State Bar of New Mexico (Real Property, Probate and Trust Section, and Elder Law Sections), Wealth Counsel and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
- Served on the Medical Order for Scope of Treatment (MOST) committee during the development of the MOST
- Served on Board of Directors for the NM Guardianship Association for eight years
- Served as president and secretary of the NM Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys
- Medical Certification from the UNM School of Law
- Certified in guardianship mediation with Stetson University College of Law
- Teaches advance planning for Oasis Albuquerque in the Aging Mastery Program
- Taught Medicaid in Small Bites for members of State Bar in 2024

Presentation by Brittany Warpinski, Bayer: Living Well With Prostate Cancer : Sexual Health
We will be discussing sexual health as it relates to prostate cancer. Sexual health is an important part of your overall quality of life and includes not only your physical ability to have sex, but also mental, emotional, and interpersonal aspects of sexuality. Prostate cancer can affect your relationship with your partner, decrease your desire for sex, and cause feelings of embarrassment or shame. Experiencing changes in sexual health during prostate cancer is common, and there are treatment options and resources available to help manage sexual health concerns.
Bio: Brittany Warpinski is currently a nurse educator in oncology at Bayer Pharmaceuticals, where she supports both healthcare professionals and patients throughout their cancer treatment journey. Prior to Bayer, she held similar roles with other pharmaceutical companies and brings years of hands-on experience as a certified oncology nurse. She is deeply passionate about education and committed to empowering nurses and patients and their families with the knowledge and support they need in oncology care.
